How to Apply
Grades PK-5
Grades 6-12
Initial openings at Savannah Country Day School are in our three Pre-Kindergarten sections of 18 children per class.

Applicants for these openings must be age 4 by September 1. There are no exceptions made on this age requirement due to our accreditation requirements. For questions about summer birthdays, please view our summer birthday policy in the admissions downloads section.

Please note: The Admissions Process is different for Prekindergarten, Kindergarten, Grades 1-5, and Grades 6-12. You may view the application process, for each grade level, by choosing the appropriate tab above.

Pre-Kindergarten – 5th Grade

Fall 2010 (September – December)

  • Submit a completed application with the application/testing fee of $175 (International students submit $350)
  • Distribute teacher (PK-5) & principal/counselor evaluation (K-5) forms to your child’s current school
  • Give transcript request form (K-5) to current school for completion mid-year
  • PK & K - Attend a Pre-Admissions Orientation (Optional) Please choose from dates below and register with Admissions.
  • 1st-5th Grade - Schedule a tour of the campus (Optional) Please contact the Admissions Office.

Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten (parents only please)

Pre-Admissions Orientation
programs begin promptly @ 9:30am

October 27     November 3 or 17     December 8     January 12

*If you are unable to attend a Pre-Admissions Orientation, on one of these dates, please contact the Admissions Office to schedule a tour.


Winter 2011 (January – February)

  • Attend testing (choose from dates below and register with Admissions)

  • Return completed parent/guardian statement form to SCDS
  • Admissions will contact you, if your child’s file is incomplete

Spring 2011 (February - March)

  • Files go to Admissions Committee for review
  • Admissions decisions are mailed to your home
  • Enrollment contracts for new students are due

 ** If applying for financial aid, please complete the necessary forms at
www.nais.org > click on SSS Online. You may estimate if you have
not completed your taxes.

Admission Decisions
  •  
    • Files go to Admissions Committee for review (mid/late February)
    • Admissions decisions are mailed to your home (late February)
    • Enrollment contracts for new students are due (mid February)
