Math Team Takes Top Honors at GSU Invitational
On Saturday, February 11, the Middle and Upper School Math Teams competed in the Georgia Southern University Invitational Mathematics Competition and came away with several awards. The Varsity team of Vihan Lakshman, Andrew Tsai, Chase Wehrle, and Doyeong Jang won the first place trophy with Chase receiving the second place individual out of about 120 students. Rishi Patel won the first place Junior Varsity prize with Danny Park taking second place. The Junior Varsity team of Patel, Park, and Nivan Lakshman won the second place trophy with only three people on the team! In the Middle School, the team of eighth graders Harrison Ham, Rares Cristian, Elliott Shin, and Polly Berman won the trophy for second place out of 45 teams in their division. Also competing in the Middle School division were Evan Blasy, Stephen Bohlmann, Peter Kronowitz, Nick Nawar, Michael Pal, Brennan Pastorek, Tristan Senkowski, and Harrison West.
