Lower School Aftercare Teachers (Part-Time, Hourly)
Savannah Country Day School is seeking Lower School Aftercare Teachers for the 2024-2025 academic year. Aftercare teachers supervise and plan daily afternoon/afterschool activities and help lower school students with homework. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 2:45-5:45 pm. High School Diploma required. Savannah Country Day School is seeking an experienced Volleyball Coach. This is a full-time role, with anticipated start in summer 2025 for pre-season training. Director of Counseling and Student Health & Wellness
Savannah Country Day school is seeking an individual to serve as Director of Counseling and Student Health & Wellness. Candidates should have a Master's or Doctorate degree in counseling, school counseling, psychology or related field. A minimum of five (5) years' counseling experience is required. Summer Arts and Crafts Specialist (Camp Moon River at Savannah Country Day)
The Arts & Crafts Program Specialist is expected to inspire creativity in children by engaging them in various hands-on art and craft activities. The ideal candidate should have expertise in a range of arts and crafts techniques, such as drawing, painting, weaving, sewing, latch hooks, pottery, and tie-dye, and should be able to transform children's imaginations into reality. If you have a passion for arts and crafts and are a positive, enthusiastic, and safety-conscious individual, this position could be an excellent fit for you. Summer Camp Counselor (Camp Moon River at Savannah Country Day)
Camp Moon River Counselors are the primary caregivers for each camper and have the opportunity to inspire comfort, support, and lead by example. Camp counselors have the potential to be superheroes. They carry out activities while guiding campers in their personal growth. To be a good camp counselor, one should be interested in working with children and possess maturity, flexibility, a strong work ethic, and the ability to have fun. Summer Camp Counselor in Training and Junior Camp Counselor in Training (CIT / JCIT - Camp Moon River at Savannah Country Day)
Camp Moon River Junior CITs and CITs will assist Camp Counselors in all activities with the campers. Applicants for Junior CIT and CIT positions should be interested in working with children, possess maturity, flexibility, a strong work ethic, and, most importantly, the ability to have fun. J/CITs will be assigned to either a Program Specialist, a bunk of campers, or in some cases, both. Summer Sports and Games Specialist (Camp Moon River at Savannah Country Day)
The Sports and Games Specialist organizes and implements fun games and organized sports for Camp Moon River Campers of all ages and abilities. It is essential that this person be able to teach campers about being kind and supportive to fellow teammates and members of the other teams whether they win or lose. The Sports and Game Specialist will be expected to have multiple games at the ready whenever we have downtime or an activity block that calls for a game. This person will also help support general camp activities, be in charge of a bunk, and help lead Moon River Madness (all-camp competition) when not in charge of a group for Athletics. Summer Drama Program Specialist (Camp Moon River at Savannah Country Day)
The Drama Specialist will organize and implement theater games and small productions for Camp Moon River Campers. The goals will be to inspire creativity, assist with ensemble/team building, help campers come out of their shell, develop focus, and teach improvisational skills. Drama will be available as a daily/weekly choice for campers. This person will also be asked to be a bunk counselor when not leading and will support general camp activities when not leading a daily or weekly drama session. The music specialist leads and actively engages in a safe, organized, meaningful, enriching, and fun music program for campers. The program should focus on music and life skills, such as collaboration, problem-solving, creativity, confidence, and fun. The Music Specialist will also be a bunk counselor. This person will also be asked to be a bunk counselor when not leading and will support general camp activities when not leading a daily or weekly drama session. The Programs Coordinator helps to further the mission of Camp Moon River through the planning and delivery of excellent programs, activities, and events. This position will oversee all Program Specialists and assist in the overall management of camp operations at the direction of the camp director. The Photographer/Historian edits and creates photos/videos for the website and social media, promotional videos, and for sharing with campers and their families.
