A New Home for Our Youngest Hornets

Opening in fall 2027, the new Roberts Little School at Savannah Country Day will provide an exceptional, purpose-built environment for children ages six weeks through four years. Designed specifically around the needs of young children, the 17,000-square-foot facility will bring together thoughtfully designed classrooms, inspiring indoor and outdoor learning spaces, enhanced safety and security, and amenities that support the needs of both children and families.

The new Roberts Little School will also add one classroom at each age level, allowing us to welcome more families into our community while maintaining the nurturing, personal experience that has long defined the Little School.

Designed for Learning, Play, and Discovery

Every element of the Roberts Little School has been thoughtfully planned to encourage exploration, creativity, movement, and connection.

Art Studio: A dedicated studio will give children space for hands-on, project-based learning and creative expression.

Outdoor STEAM Learning Space: A dedicated outdoor environment will encourage children to experiment, build, investigate, and discover through developmentally appropriate science, technology, engineering, art, and math experiences.

Direct Access to the Outdoors: Every classroom will feature an exterior door leading directly to playgrounds and outdoor learning spaces, making nature and outdoor exploration a natural part of each child’s day.

Nature Nook: A special nature-focused space will invite children to slow down, observe, explore, and connect with the natural world.

Multipurpose Room: A spacious indoor area will provide room for active play during inclement weather, while also creating a flexible gathering space for enrichment activities, special programs, and family events.

Child-Friendly Kitchen: A small kitchen will allow us to offer a greater variety of fresh, healthy snacks while creating opportunities for children to cook and bake alongside their teachers.

Thoughtfully Designed for Children and Families

The Roberts Little School will include a dedicated children’s therapy room as well as a private mothers’ room for breastfeeding, providing welcoming spaces that support the individual needs of children and families.

Safety from the Start

The new facility has been designed with safety and security at its core. A single primary entrance, controlled access, and enhanced security systems at entry points will provide an additional layer of protection while maintaining the warm, welcoming environment families expect from the Little School.

The result will be much more than a new building. The Roberts Little School will be a place designed from the ground up for early childhood, where our youngest learners can play, explore, create, build relationships, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
