The Savannah Country Day School

Service Through Knowledge and Character

Tuition & Affordability

Due to the unforeseen, recent health-related worldwide events, Savannah Country Day School will continue to accept applications for financial assistance for the upcoming school year.  Though the first round of financial aid grants have been awarded, Country Day will do our best, budget allowing, to assist our families, current and prospective, through these difficult times.  As our physical offices are closed, please contact Ms. Terri Barfield, Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, at 912-961-8806 or for assistance.
Country Day recognizes that while our families view tuition as an important investment in their children's future, it is a stretch for many. The School is committed to supporting qualified students regardless of a family’s ability to pay the full cost of tuition. While a Country Day tuition ranges from $15,400 to $20,750, the average cost of educating a student is much higher. Thankfully, our parents, grandparents, alumni and other donors continue investing in the future of the School to offset the difference through philanthropic efforts such as The Fund for Country Day and Endowments.

In addition to three flexible payment plans, Country Day offers need-based financial aid, the Jane Philbrick Merit Scholarship and the Goizueta Foundation Scholars Fund. Additional information can be found below.

  • Need-Based Financial Aid

The purpose of the financial aid program is to enroll qualified students who could not otherwise afford to attend, thus maximizing the strength of the student body. On average, more than 20% of our students receive some level of financial aid, with an average grant ranging between $4,500 - $13,500.
All financial aid awards are made on the basis of a family’s demonstrated need. Country Day follows the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Principals of Good Practice for financial aid. All requesting financial aid will adhere to the procedures of the School and Students Services (SSS) by NAIS. The Financial Aid Committee evaluates the results of the Parent Financial Statement (PFS) filed through SSS. The Committee then determines whether aid is granted and how much aid to grant. Country Day is not always able to meet the full demonstrated need as indicated on the Parent Report for all families. All information is confidential and limited to review by The Financial Aid Committee. Our financial aid application is separate from the admission application and is not a factor in admissions decisions.
