Tuition & Affordability

Country Day recognizes that while our families view tuition as an important investment in their children's future, it may be is a stretch for some families. The School is committed to supporting qualified students regardless of a family’s ability to pay the full cost of tuition. While a Country Day tuition ranges from $15,400 to $20,750, the average cost of educating a student is much higher. Thankfully, our parents, grandparents, alumni and other donors continue investing in the future of the School to offset the difference through philanthropic efforts such as The Fund for Country Day and Endowments.

In addition to three flexible payment plans, Country Day offers need-based financial aid, the Jane Philbrick Merit Scholarship and the Goizueta Foundation Scholars Fund. Additional information can be found below.

  • Online Financial Aid Application

The Savannah Country Day School’s financial aid mission is to assist qualified students in enrolling who could not otherwise afford to attend our school. On average more than 20% of our students (Junior Kindergarten through twelfth grade) receive some level of financial aid. The average grant ranges between $7,000 - $12,000. Many families mistakenly believe they would not qualify for financial aid; however, there is no specific income level at which a family is no longer eligible. Eligibility for financial assistance is based on many factors, so you should investigate the possibility of receiving financial aid if you feel you cannot pay all of the costs yourself. Some factors taken into consideration in the evaluation of your financial aid application are family size, number of children in tuition-paying schools, annual household expenses, and total income

Financial aid at The Savannah Country Day School is need-based. A family’s need is defined as the difference between tuition and a family’s ability to pay these expenses. We require families to complete an application, the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS), on a yearly basis through School and Student Services (SSS) to determine your ability to contribute to educational expenses. Families who demonstrate financial need may be provided with a grant to lower the amount you pay at The Savannah Country Day School.
