The Savannah Country Day School

Service Through Knowledge and Character

Booster Club

The Booster Club is a support group comprised of parents and coaches. The mission of the Booster Club is: To provide a forum for parental involvement in and support of the Savannah Country Day School athletic program, to provide financial support of approved athletic program projects and amenities and to increase the awareness of the school’s athletic programs both within and outside of the Savannah Country Day School family.
Country Day fields over 50 different teams from the Middle School to Varsity level. Last year our student athletes participated in twelve different sports, including basketball, football, volleyball, lacrosse and tennis, to name a few. During the 2018-19 season, over 75% of our Varsity teams advanced to their respective state playoffs.

The continued success of our athletic programs, however, depends largely on the Booster Club fulfilling its mission to provide financial support for these student athletes. We do this in many ways, as requested by the school. The past three years, the Booster Club assisted school athletics with the purchase of batting cages for the baseball team, Hornet mascot costume, travel bags for the football and basketball teams, cameras for streaming athletic events, Hudl for athletic teams, charter buses for away games and playoffs, etc. And, the Booster Club fulfilled a $20,000 commitment to help fund the new track. The Booster club also provides funds for new equipment each year for the weight room. In fact, the Booster Club filled every request for assistance from the SCDS Athletic department the past three years.

Whether your children are in Lower School, Middle School, or Upper School, or if you are an Alum, past parent or grandparent, the Booster Club is for you. As an integral part of the Savannah Country Day family environment, the Booster Club membership provides you with FREE admission to all home Upper School sporting events (excluding playoffs) and all home SPAL/Middle School sporting events (excluding playoffs).

We truly appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!
