We’ve had a rocky start to the season in the wins category but that does not mean we aren’t holding ourselves accountable for the actions that will make us better as a program and as young men. We’re extremely proud of the fact that we demand excellence and discipline from one another on a daily basis. We know it’s hard work and we are proud of how the boys are continuing to fight. They are a wonderful group and while the scoreboard has not always reflected, we are proud of our successes.
We push this group extremely hard and have implemented some changes from past years that the boys have worked hard to take in-stride. There is no doubt that these young men are resilient and will scratch out some more W’s before the season is over. Small wins everyday as a team will carry us forward as men and as a program for years to come.
Baseball has had a rocky start to the season; working the kinks out one by one along the way. We’ve faced nothing but tough competition with a stacked schedule full of powerhouse schools. We have seniors stepping up and learning how to be leaders as well as freshman filling big shoes in starting roles. We are proud to see their response to the level of teams we’ve lined up against.
The boys confront adversity everyday and we as a coaching staff don’t make it easy on them. Building a program’s culture is a beautifully arduous process that the athlete’s on this team get to say they laid the foundation for. The wins will come as the boys develop through every 2.5 hour practice and each battle on the diamond. Stay tuned and don’t count us out!
