Savannah Country Day (5-5) rolled to a Region 3-3A win over Groves (1-9) as the Hornets ended their season 3-4 in Region 3AAA tied for 5th place.
Senior Michael Grandy had four touchdowns and well over 100 yards rushing on the night and added an interception he ran back 70 yards. Grandy closed out his high school career with 14 total touchdowns in his final season.
Phil Ajayi and Rooster Bing had rushing touchdowns in a jumbo package for the Hornets, and Josh Washington and K.J. James each had more than 100 yards receiving and a touchdown catch.
Barton Mixon had three touchdown passes and also hit Brooks Kleinpeter with a scoring pass, and Gabe McKinney and Sam Bueno added interceptions for the Hornets
