The Hornets took on New Hampstead and SVA in their first JV trimatch of the season.
The first game against New Hampstead was a display of strong defense against an athletic opponent that ran an option offense. The Hornets stayed disciplined on defense, logging 23 total tackles. Playing in her first ever flag football game, quarterback Isa Georgescu scrambled well and tossed a 15 yard passing touchdown to fellow sophomore Amirah Brahim to lead the Hornets over NHHS 6-0.
The JV Hornets came up short against region rival SVA in a 6-12 loss. The Hornets had a balanced offensive attack rushing (125 yds) and passing (105 yds). Freshman Natasha Lange had a massive rushing game totally 75 yards on the ground. Freshman Sam Hendrix led the receiving attack with 54 yards and a touchdown.
