With the conclusion of football season, we are now shifting our focus to the most important offseason in Country Day history. It is possible, and in many aspects easy, to find success for one season. The challenge is in developing a program that wins consistently. The new reality for our program is not simply defeating inferior teams but beating opponents that match and exceed our own talent level. This is only possible through championship attitude, effort, passion and purpose.
It is imperative that we gather as a program on Monday, December 9th at 5:30PM in Andrews Auditorium to discuss the direction and plan for our program. With our offseason officially kicking off on Monday, December 9th, 6:30AM for varsity and 3:45PM for middle school, we need to clearly outline the schedule and expectations for our players through the start of next season. Topics of discussion include:
1. Redesign and renovation of athletic performance center
2. Strength and conditioning program (varsity)
3. Blueprint program (middle school)
4. Collegiate recruiting – summer camp tour
5. Academic requirements and expectations
I know that all of us share a strong conviction that Country Day belongs on top in academics and athletics. Our unquestioned goal is to provide our student-athletes with the best possible experience they can have during their time in Green and Gold. This can only be done with an open and working relationship between the school and parents. We appreciate your participation in this meeting and look forward to speaking with you.
