As part of the commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, this Student Diversity Conference, provides a safe space for leadership, professional development, and networking for people of color and allies of all backgrounds in independent schools. It equips students with knowledge, skills, and experiences to improve and enhance the interracial, inter-ethnic, and intercultural climate in their schools. We hope to create 9th-12th grade leaders who will be catalysts for change in the area of social justice and equity on their campuses.
Presentations/Sessions will support the idea of “Leadership on and off campus” as well as the following topics: conflict resolution, cultural competency, leadership, social justice and equity. Students will have the opportunity to experience a variety of topics. They will also have large group sessions, small group sessions, and affinity groups.
