Advisory & Class Deans

Because it is important for each student to form relationships with the adults in our community, all students have faculty advisors assigned in the ninth grade and the groups stay together for four years. This allows students and faculty to create the kinds of bonds that can only be forged over time. Advisors meet regularly with advisees for community and character education. Class Deans also spend four years with each grade cohort and oversee the full range of student experiences in each grade in conjunction with advisors, college counselors, the director of counseling, the director of cultural competency and inclusion, and others. Parents may contact their student’s Dean to check on progress, seek assistance, or provide the school with information relevant to his or her success.
