Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program
Redirect your Georgia income tax dollars to Country Day!
Each year, the Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program plays a critical role in the School's overall financial aid program. Participation in this program has a huge impact on the School's ability to provide financial aid to need-based families.
Country Day partners with Apogee, a 501c3 nonprofit Student Scholarship Organization (SSO), to administer the process for all participants. The primary function of Apogee is to facilitate the process of distributing tax credits in exchange for donations and to disburse those funds for private school tuition scholarships.
The 2025 Georgia Private School Tax Credit cap has been met.
Apogee will email approved taxpayers with their prorated contribution amounts and payment instructions as soon as the information is made available by the Georgia Department of Revenue.
The 2026 application will open in Summer 2025. The exact date is to be determined.

Please note that the Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program provides an opportunity for participants to redirect tax liability already owed to the State of Georgia to a restricted priority (financial aid) at a favorite independent school. Participation in the program, therefore, is not related to participation in the Fund for Country Day.
