Why should I give to the Fund for Country Day?

Next to tuition, your contribution to The Fund for Country Day is the most important way to show your support of the School.

Students benefit from the margin of excellence created by others’ generous annual gifts to The Fund. Gifts are asked of all Savannah Country Day School parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, as well as every member of our faculty, staff and Board of Trustees.

How much should I give?

How do Fund gifts differ from contributions to APOGEE - The Georgia Private School Tax Credit?

The Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program (APOGEE) allows Country Day to receive funds from a GA citizen through a redirection of their State of Georgia income tax. A Student Scholarship Organization (SSO) administers the process for participants. Country Day partners with an SSO called Apogee. Funds received from APOGEE are restricted funds that must be used for financial aid in support for incoming academically and financially eligible students. Funds received from this initiative help to free up operating dollars for usage towards other school needs. SCDS greatly appreciates you redirecting your state tax dollars for financial aid to SCDS however, participation in APOGEE does not count to your family’s Fund for Country Day support.
