4th Grade Museum Field Trip

Today, the fourth graders took a trip to the SCAD Museum of Art in downtown Savannah. They kicked off the visit with a one-point perspective drawing activity, where they learned about creating depth and 3D environments in art. Afterward, they explored the museum, which featured current exhibits like Yinka Shonibare’s Colonial Arrangements, an installation that examines historical narratives through vibrant textiles and sculpture. It was a day full of creativity and discovery, immersing students in both the process of making art and the power of contemporary exhibitions.
