Mrs. Denton-Alvarez’s 5th grade class recently embarked on a journey into Ancient Egypt, exploring different aspects of Egyptian life—from the intricacies of their clothing and jewelry to the evolution of medical practices and entertainment. Students analyzed how the ancient Egyptians lived and how they influenced modern society. To wrap up their studies, students created oral presentations that offer modern perspectives on Egyptian achievements and their broader historical context. With creativity and curiosity at the forefront, the class is providing a fresh look at the culture and legacy of Ancient Egypt. This hands-on approach to learning is sparking excitement and encouraging students to think critically about how history shapes the world they know today.
