After months of studying plant ecology and nurturing their community garden, Mr. Eswine's 3rd graders turned their hard work into a delicious meal. Earlier this year, each student planted and cared for vegetable seeds as part of lessons on plant growth, data collection, and cells. When harvest time arrived, they brought their crops to the kitchen, where each group took on tasks like peeling potatoes, chopping brussel sprouts, and slicing carrots. After cooking, all the students got to enjoy their hearty meal.
