Our Mock Trial teams had a big weekend at the regional competition at the Chatham County Courthouse. Country Day took both first and second place out of fourteen competing teams! Our Varsity (green) team won the region, and our JV (gold) team placed second. Both teams will advance to compete in the District round in Macon on February 22. Country Day all collected several individual awards, including Outstanding Attorney Award: Mollie Macfadyen (2), Theo McGuirk, Ander Renelt, Finn Smith; Outstanding Witness Award: Connor Umbel and Aarya Patel.

Gold Team: Grace Eskandar, Rebecca Kimball, Ella Phillips, Aarya Patel, Ben Perkins, Ander Renelt, Finn Smith, Andrew Wilkes, and Ellie Celaya. Attorney Coaches: Nikki Smith, and Drew Wilkes. In addition, Harlan Lerch and Finn Taylor submitted sketches in the court artist competition (judges at a later date).
