Special Visitor Ambassador (ret.) Ronald Neumann

Ambassador (ret.) Ronald E. Neumann, the sitting President of the American Academy of Diplomacy, spoke to AP World History students about his tenure as U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan, Algeria, and Bahrain. Ambassador Neumann shared stories about his time at each post as well as offered advice about careers in foreign service. Students asked the Ambassador questions about current global conflicts and gained insight as to how a diplomat approaches complex situations. In addition to the many accolades accorded to Ambassador Neumann for his work in diplomacy, he was also an Army infantry officer in Vietnam and holds a Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, and Combat Infantry Badge. Thank you to Ambassador Neumann for visiting with our students!
