First Graders Forage for Fossils

Country Day grandparents Reg and Joyce Tempelmyer stopped by Ms. Eisenstein's and Ms. Gilpin's classrooms on April 5th to share their hobby of paleontology with our students. First graders soaked mudstones and then used special paleontology tools (paintbrushes!) to search for fossils. They found some unidentified objects, and a few remnants of teeth! What a fun and interactive way to learn about paleontology!
