Lotter Golf Champion

Reed Lotter, a sophomore at Savannah Country Day was crowned as the overall champion of the SJGT Sea Island Junior Classic on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 11-12. The par-72 Sea Island Retreat Course on St. Simons Island hosted 111 juniors to start the 2020 Southeastern Junior Golf Tour season. Lotter won the title in sudden death over Metter’s Ian Glanton (Male 16-19 Division). He was also the champion of the Male 14-15 Division.

Reed Lotter of Savannah and Mia Sessa of Augusta were crowned as the overall champions of the SJGT Sea Island Junior Classic on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 11-12. The par-72 Sea Island Retreat Course on St. Simons Island hosted 111 juniors to start the 2020 Southeastern Junior Golf Tour season.
Lotter won the title in sudden death over Metter’s Ian Glanton (Male 16-19 Division). They were deadlocked with 2-over 146 totals. Lotter fired rounds of 77-69, while Glanton carded 70-76. Both golfers birdied the first three playoff holes, and Lotter had a par on the fourth playoff hole to get the win. He was also the champion of the Male 14-15 Division.
Sessa was the champion of the Female 15-19 Division with 78-75 for 9 over.
Mary Miller of Savannah finished atop the Female 12-14 Division leaderboard and second to Sessa in the Female 12-19 group with 79-77 for 12 over.
