Campus Tours & Events

We encourage you to visit our campus and learn more about the Country Day difference.
By design, our events are both informative and comfortable for parents and children. Additionally, they provide the children with the experience of being part of Savannah Country Day School and allow the admissions staff and faculty opportunities to know and appreciate the children applying for admission.  We welcome questions at any time and are here to assist you through our simple but thorough process.

To attend an event or schedule a tour/testing, please contact Amy Pinckney at 912-961-8700 or pinckney@savcds.org.  If you have not requested an information packet from our school, please complete an inquiry request form by clicking here.

We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your interest in Savannah Country Day School.

Student Visit and Testing

Dates To Be Determined

Student visits and shadowing provide applicants the experience of being part of Savannah Country Day School, while the testing and assessment allows the admissions staff and faculty opportunities to know and appreciate the children applying for admission.  Please note, these events begin promptly at 8:45AM.  So that we may plan for your visit, please contact Amy Pinckney 912-961-8700 or pinckney@savcds.org.  We look forward to meeting your child.

Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten
applicants are invited to the Savannah Country Day School campus for a small group visit.  During this visit, in addition to interactive group play, each child will participate in one-on-one activities which will help us to learn about his or her developmental readiness.

First through Eleventh grade applicants are invited to the Savannah Country Day School campus for an age-appropriate academic screening. During this visit, we will measure verbal, quantitative and figural reasoning skills that are most related to scholastic achievement.  Additionally, the student will write an essay to demonstrate his or her writing skills.

In an effort to make these campus visits as comfortable as possible for the prospective student, a current student will be chosen to guide him or her through the day.  Every effort will be taken to customize the applicant's visit based on academic and extra-curricular interests.  During this visit, sixth through eleventh grade applicants will interview with an administrator from the appropriate division. Lunch is provided for our guests on the day of their visit.
