As part of Country Day's commitment to physical and emotional wellness, Upper School Hornets participated in the Freedom fromChemicalDependency course during the week of October 17th. Led by JamesLingo, Freedom From Chemical Dependency focuses on equipping students with the information and skills they need to make healthy and safe decisions. The week started off with our Seniors and Juniors taking part in a seminar on continuing healthy decisions as they head off to college. Ninth-graders participated in week-long workshops that helped them develop the skills necessary when encountering peer pressure. Even parents got involved at the evening session of the Ninth Grade Family Health Forum, where student-parent roundtable discussions took place to provide a platform for a safe and non-judgmental dialogue between the two generations.
