SUMMER CAMPS & PROGRAMSLearn more at www.savcds.org/summercamps. SCDS hosts a variety of Sports Camps, our Rise Up Ready Academic Camp, and the legendary Coastal Ecology Summer Program. Camp Moon River, the only ACA Accredited day camp within 100 miles, offers a full-day, fun, and meaningful traditional-style camp experience for rising K-8th graders. SCHOOL UNIFORMSStudents are required to wear a school uniform from Land’s End. You may order by phone or online (1.800.469.2222 or www.landsend.com). Lower & Middle School code: 900138850; Upper School code: 900132580. More detailed information about our dress code appears in the student handbooks. The Parents’ Association oversees an on-campus Uniform Closet, offering gently used uniforms and spirit wear for families. The Uniform Closet is located in Modular E. (Modular E is located to the right of Demere Gym. Parking is located in the Demere lot or behind the Little School.)

MEDICAL RECORDS & SCHOOL FORMSIn an effort to ensure the health and safety of all of our students, SCDS requires health forms on file with the School prior to the start of each school year. The Savannah Country Day School requires all students to be age-appropriately immunized with all the required vaccines BEFORE a student can attend school.

REQUIRED FORMS Jr. Kindergarten - 4th Grade: SCDS utilizes the School Website to download and submit required forms for Jr. K-4th Grade. Click HERE for directions to access complete and submit the required forms.

REQUIRED FORMS 5th-12th Grade: SCDS utilizes both the School Website and DragonFly to download and submit required forms for 5th-12th grade.

EMERGENCY SCHOOL CLOSINGSParents will be notified of school closings or delays via our phone, email, and text message systems. In addition, we will post emergency announcements on our website homepage as well as on social media. In order to receive alerts from the School, please keep your contact information updated throughout the year.

SCHOOL COMMUNICATIONSIn an effort to reduce our paper usage, the majority of correspondence from school is distributed electronically. Please keep your preferred email address updated within your online profile and ensure that Country Day’s email domain (@savcds.org) and our pushpage address (noreply@savcds.org.myenotice.com) are added to your SPAM filter’s whitelist and/or contacts.

TEXTBOOKS (6th-12th), SUMMER READING & SCHOOL SUPPLIESInformation is posted to the website on your child’s respective school division’s “Important Information Board” under Resources at the start of summer break.

CAMPUS CAR DECALSAll SCDS students, parents and guardians must display a car decal on the front windshield. Parking decals will be mailed before the start of school. If you need an additional one, please call or email Lisa Team at 912.961.8802 or team@savcds.org.

SCDS BUS TRANSPORTATIONCountry Day offers morning and afternoon bus routes to a small number of areas. For route information, please contact Michaela Shank at 912.961.8808 or mshank@savcds.org. Registration for bus service will open in June for the 2024-2025 school year.

ATHLETICS (5th-12th)Athletic offerings for students begin at 5th grade, with the majority of offerings available 6th-12th grade. Country Day athletic offerings for the 2024-25 school year are: (Fall) cheerleading, clay target, cross country, flag football, football, volleyball; (Winter) basketball, swimming, wrestling; (Spring) baseball, golf, lacrosse, soccer, tennis and track & field. All new rising 9th-12th grade students need to be cleared for GHSA eligibility. If you have any questions, please contact the athletic department at 912.961.8770. 

EXTENDED CARE & AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMSCountry Day offers a Morning Wait program (JK-5th) at no cost and an After Care Program (JK-5th grade and 6th-8th grade)for a fee. SCHOOL LUNCHSchool lunch (JK-12) is included in Country Day tuition. Our lunchroom vendor, SAGE, offers a wide variety of nutritious offerings each day. The daily menu, as well as listings for allergens and dietary restrictions, is available on our website under “Quick Links” at the top. In addition, the Touch of SAGE App is available in the App Store for mobile devices.
